Yardzen was pretty good

I used Yardzen for a Curb Appeal Design because my front yard was looking a bit sad. It was actually pretty easy to get started, just uploaded some pics. The design came back in a few weeks, looked nice. I liked the ideas, especially for some native plants. Made picking out stuff for the front yard much simpler than trying to figure it out myself. Overall, happy with how it turned out.

Good experience, solid design

I went with the Full Yard Design package from Yardzen, mainly because I needed help with both the front and back. The initial questionnaire covered everything I could think of, and I also sent them some inspiration pictures. The design phase took about three weeks, which felt reasonable. When the 3D Renderings came back, I was impressed; they really captured the vision I had. I requested one minor revision on a hardscape element, and their support team handled it quickly. They then matched me with a local contractor, which saved a lot of searching. The Construction Documentation was detailed enough for the contractor to work from without too many questions. My only small gripe was that delivery for the final plans took 6 days to reach my inbox after the revision, but it wasn't a huge deal. Definitely worth the investment for a cohesive plan.

Consistent service, reliable designs

This was my third time using Yardzen, this time for a Back Yard Design. Just like with my previous Front Yard Design, the process was smooth. The 3D renderings were accurate, and the Planting Plans were easy to follow. They consistently deliver what they promise. That's why I keep coming back.

thinking about Yardzen vs ShrubHub, anyone have experience with both? trying to figure out which one's better for a modern look.

R Robert 2 days ago
I looked at ShrubHub but went with Yardzen because their portfolio seemed more aligned with the modern aesthetic I wanted. No regrets.

My buddy used ShrubHub and liked it, but I thought the designs from Yardzen looked more sophisticated. Hard to say without knowing what you're after specifically, but Yardzen felt more 'design forward' to me.

does Yardzen do anything for Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I'm planning a big project next year and could wait for a good deal.

J James Carter 4 weeks ago
Oh yeah, they definitely do Black Friday sales. I got 10% off my design package last year around then. Worth waiting for for sure.

They usually have some kind of holiday promo around that time, yeah. Keep an eye out starting in November.

can you stack coupons at Yardzen? got a military discount code but also saw a bundle deal advertised...

S Steven K. 1 day ago
Nah, pretty sure you can only use one code at a time. I tried it with a referral bonus and a holiday promo, didn't work.

AFAIK, most online services, including Yardzen, only let you use one discount. It's usually in their fine print somewhere.

do they connect you with actual contractors who are good, or is it like a crapshoot? nervous about finding someone reliable.

K Kyle Taylor 1 week ago
They gave me three options and I interviewed all of them. Ended up going with one, and he was fantastic. Definitely not a crapshoot in my experience.

J Jacob Parker 6 days ago
The contractors they connected me with were all vetted, seemed pretty legit. It's still on you to pick, but they're not just random guys from Yelp.

hey, anyone used Yardzen in Texas? wondering if they actually know what plants do well in that crazy heat, especially for a low water design.

M Matt Rivera 3 days ago
Yeah, I'm in Austin. They nailed it for my xeriscape. Gave me a bunch of native options that hold up in summer. Was pretty impressed.

They designed my backyard in Dallas, and it was mostly good, but I had to swap out one plant that my local nursery said wouldn't make it. So, mostly yes, but keep an eye out.
